With great pleasure, I am introducing Peter Heine Nielsen as the Deputy President on our joint Presidential ticket for the upcoming FIDE President 2022 elections.
Peter Heine coached World Champion Viswanathan Anand from 2002 until 2013 and has been coaching World Champion Magnus Carlsen since 2013. He was also recognized as the FIDE trainer of 2016. Peter Heine holds the title of International Grandmaster, and his peak ELO was 2700. He is the five-time Danish Chess Champion and represented the Danish team in seven Chess Olympiads.
We both share the vision that FIDE — International Chess Federation has to be politically independent, fully transparent, and professional, thus more attractive for corporate and private partnerships.
