Abu Dhabi Chess Festival Committee has the honor of inviting you to take part in a distinguished chess annual event, which consists of numerous FIDE registered tournaments. It will be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE
Festival Tournaments
Masters Rapid Tournament
By invitation
Tournament will be a 9 rounds Swiss System, time control 25 min for each player and 30 seconds increment for each 10-minute tolerance will be applied.
The organizing committee shall provide free accommodation in a five star hotel for invited players.
Masters Blitz Tournament
By invitation
Tournament will be 9 rounds Swiss System, time control 3 min for each player and 2 seconds increment for each 10-minute tolerance will be applied. The organizing committee shall provide free accommodation in a five star hotel for invited players, Maximum number of participants 24 players.
Open Rapid Tournament
Open for players rated 2300 ELO and below (as of 1st Oct 2021,).
The tournament will be a 9 rounds Swiss system, time control 25 min for each player and 10 seconds increment
Entry fee: 60$
Open Blitz Tournament
Open for players rated 2300 ELO and below (as of 1st Oct 2021,).
The tournament will be a 9 rounds Swiss system time control 3 min for each player and 2 seconds increment for each 10-minute tolerance will be applied
Entry fee: 30$
Juniors Rapid Tournament
(under 16 years) Open for players born in 2005 or later
The tournament will be a 9 rounds Swiss system, time control 25 min for each player and 30 seconds increment for each 10-minute tolerance will be applied.
Entry fee: 60$
