The WR Chess Masters is a 10-player round-robin taking place from 16-25 February in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The time control is 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 60 minutes for the next 20 moves, and 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move starting from move 61.
The prize pool is EUR 130,000 and will be shared among all players within the same point group.

This does not apply for the first prize. In case of shared first place between two players, there will be a play-off to decide the winner at the end of the last round. In case of a tie for first place a playoff of 2 games with 10 min + 2 sec will be held, and if still tied another 2 games with 5 min + 2 sec, and if still tied an Armageddon game with 5 min for White and 4 min for Black with an increment of 2 second per move, starting from move 61 (in case of a draw Black wins).
