The FIDE World Youth Under 16 Chess Olympiad is a 9-round Swiss team tournament taking place in Poprad, Slovakia from July 21-30. All the world’s chess federations can enter a team of 4 players and 1 reserve who were under 16 on January 1, 2016.
The time control is 90 minutes for the whole game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. The winning team is determined by match points (2 for a win, 1 for a draw), then by game points if teams are tied. Official website: wyco2016chess.sk/en
