Dear colleagues!
Please be advised that due to the FIDE completely disregarding the IOC recommendations ECU will have to deal with refusals to play with RuSSian/Belarusian citizens hiding under FIDE flag.
Here is the statements of our EICC-2022 participants:
We, Ukrainian chess players, refuse to play with RuSSian and Belarusian players, regardless of the flag they represent. It is unacceptable for us to play with players from aggressor countries, while the military of their countries are destroying our cities, killing civilians, women and children. FIDE and the European Chess Union, having made disgraceful decisions that allow representatives of the aggressor countries to play during the war, are responsible to the whole chess world.
