The 1st Hainan International Chess Open Tournament will take place from 6th to 17th December in Danzhou, Hainan, China.
The event consists of the Open section for players rated over 1900 FIDE and Amateur section under 1900.
Open section will be played from 6-17th December in 9 rounds according to Swiss system. 1 hour 30 minutes for the whole game with an increment time of 30 seconds per move.
Amateur section will be played from 6-12th December in 9 rounds according to Swiss system. 45 minutes for the whole game with an increment time of 30 seconds per move.
The total prize fund for Open is 68,000 USD（before tax) and is distributed as below:
1st place: 15,000 USD
2nd place: 10,000 USD
3rd place: 5000 USD
4th place: 3000 USD
5th place: 2000 USD
6th to 10th place: 1000 USD
11th to 15th place: 600 USD
16th to 20th place: 500 USD
Women prizes:
1st place: 8000 USD
2nd place: 4000 USD
3rd place: 2500 USD
4th place: 2000 USD
5th place: 1500 USD
6th place: 1000 USD
7th to 10th place: 500 USD
11th to 15th place: 300 USD
Prizes in Amateur section:
Men: 1st place: 500USD, 2nd place: 350USD, 3rd place: 300USD, 4th to 8th place: 200USD
Women: 1st place: 500USD, 2nd place: 350USD, 3rd place: 300USD, 4th to 8th place: 200USD
Mei’lan International Airport is the nearest airport to Danzhou. The organizer will meet participants at the airport and arrange shuttle bus for them to the hotel.
Participants who need the transfer service should give the flight information to the organizer before 10th November 2016 together with the entry form.
