SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL OPEN 2024
The Singapore International Open 2024 is held in conjunction with the FIDE World Championship 2024. We welcome players from around the world to join us in this major tournament, which is divided into two categories:
Group A is designed with a rating floor of 1800. We will implement accelerated pairings to improve title norm chances for eligible players. The number of rounds with accelerated pairings shall be decided and announced upon publication of the final player list.
Group B will observe standard Swiss pairings with a rating ceiling of 1900.

The Singapore International Open 2024 will be held at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, minutes from the FIDE World Championship Singapore 2024 match between World Champion Ding Liren and Challenger Dommaraju Gukesh. Participants will be able to experience the thrills of a World Championship match in person, as well as enjoy an exciting array of ancillary events planned around the match.

Rounds 2 & 3 – Nov 30, 2024 (Saturday)
Round 4 – Dec 1, 2024 (Sunday)
Round 5 – Dec 2, 2024 (Monday)
Rounds 6 & 7 – Dec 3, 2024 (Tuesday)
Round 8 – Dec 4, 2024 (Wednesday)
Round 9 – Dec 5, 2024 (Thursday)
Prizes:
Total prize fund of S$100,000.
Top 3 in Group A:
1st – S$15,000 (est US$11,000)
2nd – S$12,000 (est US$8,800)
3rd – S$10,000 (est US$7,400)
Format and Time Control:
FIDE Rated, 9 rounds, 90 mins + 30s increment from move 1. Recording is compulsory throughout each game. A draw by mutual agreement is not allowed before the completion of Black’s 30th move.
