The 5th La Plagne International Chess Festival will be held from 05 to 11 July 2025 !
After 4 successful editions, the Club d’Échecs du Bassin Annemassien (CABE), supported by numerous sponsors and institutions including the International Chess Federation, is delighted to be organising the La Plagne Soleil International Chess Festival once again.
For this 2025 edition, the Festival will receive
an exceptional total of € 30,000 in prizes !
The ‘Masters’, ‘Accession’, ‘Amateurs’ and ‘Blitz’ tournaments will be held in the prestigious setting of the 4-star Sun Valley hotel residence, in the heart of the Alps at an altitude of 2,000 metres.
In addition to the activities offered by the resort (hiking, mountain karting, mountain biking, etc.), the Festival will be offering several activities around Chess throughout the week, including a simultaneous match against an International Grandmaster, giant chess games, chess training and introductory courses, Rubik Cube introductory courses, and much more…
