The Ukrainian Chess Federation informs that on March 29, 2022, the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (open criminal case) regarding Serhiy Karyakin’s criminal public calls against Ukraine. Investigative actions will now be carried out within the framework of this criminal proceeding to bring Karyakin to criminal responsibility.
His actions are preliminary qualified in the Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
At the same time, similar allegations are being filed against Anatoly Karpov, Sergei Shipov and Arkady Dvorkovich.
